After months and months of scouting and almost two weeks actually hunting... it's finally over! Jeremie finally drew out on the rifle south cache bull elk tag that he had put in for 13 years. He was so excited. He spent many EARLY mornings and LATE nights before the hunt opened out scouting for his big bull. Once the hunt finally opened he hunted for eight straight days. I never thought I would hear these words from MY husband but I did,"I am so sick of hunting and the mountains." With only 3 days left in the hunt he was getting pretty nervous that he wasn't going to kill an elk. He had passed on the big "video bull" on the opening day of the hunt and couldn't locate him again later in the week. So he settled for this one:
Later this month the deer hunt starts. I am sure he will be taking back what he said about being sick of hunting and the mountains and I will be a widow again!

So...does this mean that he gets to hang that huge thing in your house??? Tell Gom nice work! Barnes leaves in 2 weeks to Idaho for 2 weeks to hunt Elk. Not his tag, but his brothers. Should be fun. And yes...then the deer hunt. So I guess that means its time for you and I to get together while our hubbies ditch us :)
Wow, that's a good one! My husband and his brother came home with one about that size a couple weeks ago... THANK HEAVEN it was Jim who shot the elk, so I don't have to worry about what Jon would want to do with it...WHEW!:) No antlers hanging on my wall, EVER!
Are you kidding me??? That thing is huge!!! All I can say is that I'm glad Justin never grew up hunting so he has no interest in it!!! Are you going to let him hang it on the wall???
