The Details...

After a roller coaster of ups and downs during pregnancy, I am so happy that our sweet little boy is finally here. I went in Tuesday afternoon for my final doctors appointment before my scheduled induction on Thursday. Just 2 days away from 39 weeks I measured 30 weeks and had lost weight, making my doctor pretty concerned. We had a growth ultrasound done a few weeks prior and everything looked great and right on track, but my doctor decided that the baby may grow better out than in so she scheduled for me to be started 1 week prior to my due date. So with finally an end in sight I headed home from the doctor making a to-do list in my head of all the things I wanted to accomplish with the one day I had left before my little one arrived. So much for that - I woke up at around 10:45 that Tuesday night having some serious contractions. Finally at about 11:30 I decided to wake up Jeremie to go to the hospital. I called my sweet mom and she came down and stayed with Kenzlie. The drive to the hospital seemed like forever... now my contractions were only about 3 minutes apart. We got to the hospital and got checked in at midnight. Once they got me all situated in my room they checked me and I was dialated to a 3. At around 1:00 they gave me my epidural and broke my water at 1:30, things from there went very fast. Our sweet little boy arrived at 3:15 a.m. and weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. and was 19" long. My doctor was shocked at how big he ended up being and so was I. He is just perfect! Welcome to our family Jensyn.
