Look Who's 3!!

I can't believe my sweet little girl is now 3!! She was so excited and couldn't wait to celebrate her birthday and have a party. She asked for 3 things for her birthday this year - books, a basketball hoop and a bike. Well all 3 of her wishes did come true and so much more... she was spoiled by everyone!!
Who would have guessed that she would pick a Dora birthday cake again? It was even the same Dora cake kit as the cake she had on her 2nd birthday. Oh well, she loved it and it sure was yummy!!
Grandpa & Grandma Rinderknecht surprised us and Kenzlie with a new baby kitten for her birthday. It was love at first sight... the poor thing has been packed around like a baby since the day she got it. We let Kenzlie pick what she would like to name her kitty and how appropriate she choose "Three." Grandpa & Grandma Nielsen got Kenz the cutest little bike with training wheels she loves it and has finally mastered how to pedal.

What could make your birthday better than having your big sister come for the weekend. Kenzlie LOVES Taylor and doesn't leave her side the whole time she is at our house. I will have to admit it is kindof nice for me cause I actually get a break! :) Happy Birthday Kenzlie we love you so much and so glad that you are part of our family.

"It's Not My Favorite Life"

Why am I such a terrible blogger??? Here is a little update - We have been enjoying this nice warm weather - finally. Kenzlie LOVES to be outside, playing basketball with her dad, jumping on the tramp, playing with her bike & wagon, and going for walks. We went on our 2nd camping trip over Memorial weekend with Jeremie's family, and had so much fun even in the rain. Kenzlie had a blast playing with her cousins and keeps asking when we can go camping again.
Kenzlie is finally getting used to the idea that we are having a baby boy instead of a girl. She loves to talk to him, tickle my belly, remind me of how BIG baby brother is getting in my belly and the other night she was singing songs to him to get him to go to sleep. It was so cute!! We still have alot to do to prepare for this little one to join our family including getting his room ready. I will take pictures and post them as soon as it is done.

We will be celebrating Kenzlie's 3rd Birthday next week... where did the last three years go? She is at such a fun age even though she is very independent and sassy at times. She says the cutest things and even some things that are not so cute. When she gets mad she will tell me things like "It's not my favorite life" or "your not my mom anymore." Where do they learn these things? LOL

This week was Kenzlie's last week at Natalie's (our babysitter). She has LOVED going there and being able to play with Reiker and her little cousin Cambree. She knew that we leave to go to Natalie's after we ate lunch so there were many days she would want to eat lunch as soon as she woke up so she could go sooner. Thanks so much Natalie for making it so much easier to leave Kenzlie and for taking such good care of her!!

Have you seen me???

I'm beginning to think that Cheetos Puffs are now a thing of the past. :( I have always had an unusual love for them. I remember coming home from middle & high school and couldn't wait to indulge in my favorite snack. My mom knew it was a food staple we had to have in the house at all times. Still today one of the very few things that sounds good ALL THE TIME is Cheetos. (even if I could easily eat the whole bag in one day) The sad news I can't seem to find the puffs anywhere... so please keep your eyes out for little Chester Cheetah!

Easter & Much Much More

This last week has been pretty eventful...

My sister and I tried to take our girls to Baby Animal Days but because the line just for tickets was way long we decided to take them to the Willow Park Zoo instead. Kenzlie loved the monkeys but to be honest I think her and Hadley were more excited to play at the park afterwards.

Anyone who knows Kenzlie knows how much she LOVES books. So a few weeks ago I took her to the library for the first time. She was pretty excited and it was no surprise what books she picked to check out. We read and read and read those library books over the next two weeks. She got to the point that she had them memorized and would read them to me. I was a little worried how she would do when we had to return the books on Saturday, but she was so excited to choose new books that she didn't care. So my little girl is a new library regular!

Kenzlie could hardly wait for her little cousin Cambree's 1st birthday party Saturday night. She kept asking all day if it was time to go to the party yet and what Cambree's cake was going to be? Cambree looked so cute all dressed up like a princess. It is so hard to believe that she is already ONE, where did the last year go? Happy Birthday Cambree, we love you!

Kenzlie was so excited for the Easter Bunny to come to our house. When she woke up Easter morning she ran and opened the door and was looking outside (I am not sure why) to see if he had been to our house. When she found her Easter basket she was so mad, she said "I just wanted eggs." After I told her that we were going to go on an egg hunt later at Grandma's she decided that what the Easter Bunny brought was okay.

The rest of Easter morning we spent at InstaCare. Jeremie had been sick with a horrible sore throat for 4 days and wasn't getting any better. I finally talked him into letting me take him to the doctor. (In the 6 years I have known him he has never been to a doctor for anything) They tested him for strep throat which was negative but he had a terrible ear infection. They put him on an antibotic and gave him some "magic mouth wash" for his throat, and now a week later he is finally doing a little better.

We made it back from the doctor just in time to get ready for dinner and the Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma & Grandpa Nielsen's.

The Easter Bunny even stopped by Grandma & Grandpa's and spoiled everyone...

My sister brought stuff for the little ones to make these cute bunny hats out of paper plates. Aren't they adorable? Thanks Elise!

And last but not least.... we found out that Kenzlie is going to have a little BROTHER! She really wanted a sister but has decided that she "likes baby boys."

Changes...

Since it has been forever since my last post, I will try and get everyone updated on what has been going on...

Kenzlie is now potty trained that is until it comes time for a #2. I had no idea how challenging it would be to potty train a 2 year old who LOVED her diapers. But... we did it! It is so nice not to have a little one in diapers anymore, yeah!
I told Kenz once she was out of diapers she could have a "BIG GIRL BED." So we converted her crib into a toddler bed and she loves it. The first morning she had to show me several times how she got up all by herself. After a couple of nights she starting sleeping through the night. Can you believe it after almost 3 years of her waking up at least once every single night she is finally sleeping through the night. Who knew all it would take was a big girl bed???
Well along with Kenzlie being a big girl - we are so happy to finally announce that she is also going to be a BIG SISTER. We are so excited to have another little one on the way and for a new addition to our family.
